We have a great opportunity for an experienced Brewmaster at SweetWater Brewing. Role is based out of Atlanta, GA


  • Lead, coach, and grow on-site brewing personnel
  • Manage and be accountable for brewing department’s budget and annual plan
  • Plan and oversee cap-ex projects for Brewhouse and Cellar
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop fresh, innovative beers across a variety of styles
  • Maintain core brand consistency and create seasonal and special release beers across the brand portfolio
  • Innovate in the use of standard and atypical ingredients as well as fermentation methodologies and technology. Keep current with brewing literature and trends in the industry
  • Coordinate with brewery leadership and operations for new release schedules
  • Directly procure or contract raw materials based on production forecast and availability
  • Maintain raw material inventory with a focus on proper inventory levels, lot tracking and ERP accuracy
  • Interface with Packaging and Warehouse departments to schedule brewing and cellar operations
  • Maintain stringent safety and quality standards in line with defined company policies/procedures
  • Uphold compliance and standards- TTB, GMP, HAACP, FSMA, OSHA, local/state
  • Ensure optimal brewing equipment performance and uptime.  Coordinate with Maintenance team for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs


  • Bachelor’s degree in brewing/fermentation, engineering, or relevant discipline preferred
  • 10+ years of production and operations management experience
  • 5+ year of experience working in an ERP systems
  • Leadership and personnel management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and control practices
  • Brewmaxx experience highly preferred
  • Automation controls experience a plus
  • Knowledge of TTB, GMP, HAACP, FSMA and OSHA compliance
  • Strong recipe development capabilities
  • Brewing scheduling and forecasting experience
  • Equipment/process knowledge
  • Knowledge of food and chemical safety regulations
